Augmented reality is the integration of digital information with the user’s environment in real time. Unlike virtual reality, which creates a totally artificial environment, augmented reality uses the existing environment and overlays new information on top of it.
Augmented reality apps are written in special 3D programs that allow the developer to tie animation or contextual digital information in the computer program to an augmented reality “marker” in the real world. When a computing device’s AR app or browser plug-in receives digital information from a known marker, it begins to execute the marker’s code and layer the correct image or images.
Augmented reality mobile applications are designed to equip mobile phone users with rich services, applications and functionality, which are applied on top of physical reality. Such applications use the phone’s camera, GPS, touch screen elements and other sensory and motion detectors to integrate real images, videos or scenarios within them.
For example, a phone camera may incorporate facial recognition capabilities and provide the ability to detect and focus on faces before taking the picture, or enable the identification of several real-world items viewed through the camera.
Sparklar’s Mobile AR solutions can be stand-alone applications or extensions of larger scale Spotlight AR exhibits. Our team and dedicated project managers will guide each client through the development process.
Spotlight AR incorporates a large-scale installation with a LED wall with a mounted camera. The mounted camera is pointed at the guest area
where visitors can see themselves on the LED wall while interacting with the Augmented Reality content.
Spotlight AR can be fully customized for both permanent and temporary installations. All content is customizable and interactive and can utilize animation or alpha channel video.
Spotlight AR is ideal for:
- Corporate Events
- Sporting Events
Photos and videos of the guests will be captured throughout the Spotlight AR experience. These photos and videos can then be broadcasted via Sparklar’s Custom Cloud interface. The Cloud Service promotes social sharing while extending the users Augmented Reality experience at home. The captured photos and videos can be sold to guests in Custom Branded Augmented Reality picture frames. These frames will trigger the videos from the Spotlight AR exhibits via a Custom IOS or Android Mobile Application. These Augmented Reality picture frames superimpose 3D animations and green screen videos on the live camera view. Thus transforming traditional photos and videos to one of a kind immersive and interactive and experiences.
